Tom Semmes exhibit “Intuitions” is featured at TAG/The Artists Gallery from April 5–28, 2019. The Opening Reception is Saturday, April 6, 5–9 pm. The artist will also discuss his work on Sunday, April 14, 2–4 pm
Tom Semmes works in the tradition of representational fine art painting. His goal is not to replicate reality but rather to be guided by an intuitive response to shape and color. His work explores a variety of subjects including landscape, figure and still life. Though his subject matter varies, all of his work displays an expressive brushwork and a palpable sense of light.
